The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.
Former twice unified boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the traditional confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really proceeding.
